2007/08

“The Lord be with you”. These are the first words spoken every Sunday during Matins worship.

The Past Year

Matins worship continued to meet throughout the past year at 8:30 on Sunday mornings. We are using the liturgy we have established, incorporating some changes at every liturgical season.

Communion is being celebrated approximately once per month.

This past summer (from June 8 through September 7) there was a single joint worship service at WNMC which met at 9:30 am. Every third Sunday was a Matins worship, and the other two were in the format of the second worship service. August 3, 2008 was a Matins Sunday when we celebrated communion.

As a planning group we have a pattern of meeting as a whole group every 6 – 8 weeks and then breaking into working groups of three to plan the details of the services for a given season.

The Year Ahead

The plan is to continue with the pattern of the liturgy that has been established.
